چکیده

SLX 1735−269 is among the 10 persistent, high energy, SIGMA sources which contribute significantly to the last five year averaged γ/X-ray emission from the direction of the Galactic Center. Detailed study of the source has only been carried out recently from data collected by SIGMA in the 35-150 keV range without successfully establishing the nature of SLX 1735−269, consequently observations with ASCA from 0.6-10 keV were performed with the aim of determining the nature of this source. The spectrum of SLX 1735−269 can be described by a powerlaw-absorber model, of photon index ∼ −2. No period was determined from the data by epoch folding in the range 10 to 1000 s nor from a power spectrum analysis in the range 125 ms to 64 s and upper limits to pulsation are derived. Yet the nature of SLX 1735−269 remains to be determined.

The X - ray timing behavior of the X - ray burst source SLX 1735 – 269

We report for the first time on the rapid X-ray variability of the galactic bulge source and X-ray burster SLX 1735–269. The power spectrum as observed with the Rossi Xray Timing Explorer is characterized by a strong band-limited noise component which is approximately flat below a 0.1–2.3 Hz break frequency; above this frequency the power spectrum declines as a power law of index 0.9. At the hi...

There exists a group of persistently faint galactic X-ray sources that, based on their location in the galaxy, high Lx/Lopt, association with X-ray bursts, and absence of low frequency Xray pulsations, are thought to be low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs). We present results from Chandra observations for eight of these systems: 4U 1708–408, 2S 1711–339, KS 1739–304, SLX 1735–269, GRS 1736–297, SLX ...

INTEGRAL detection of a long powerful burst from SLX 1735 - 269

We present results of analysis of a bursting behavior of a low mass X-ray binary system SLX 1735-269 during INTEGRAL observations of the Galactic Center region in 2003. There were detected 6 type I X-ray bursts in total, with one being much longer and more powerful then others. A strong dependence of the bursts recurrence time on the mass accretion rate is observed, that is likely caused by the...

BeppoSAX and ASCA observations of the Galactic Bulge source 1 E 1743 . 1 - 2843

We report the results of BeppoSAX and ASCA observations of the X–ray source 1E 1743.1–2843, located in the region of the galactic center, performed between 1993 and 1998. Observations spanning almost twenty years show that 1E 1743.1–2843 is a persistent X–ray source, most likely powered by accretion onto a compact galactic object. The absence of periodic pulsations and the relatively soft X–ray...
